The PMC Club was established at the Pentagon, Washington, D. C. under the auspices of the Office of the Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon, chartered by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Welfare & Recreation) April, 1976... The PMC functioned inside the Pentagon building for over 20 years providing instruction in meditation, guest speakers, group meditaions and special projects known as SDIs until the late 1990's. Today the PMC operates outside the Pentagon and the vision and activities are supported by civilians sharing the vision and work as a program of Peace Makers Institute, Inc. (http://peacemakersinstitute.org )Today the PMC/PMI focus continues to be on Spiritual Defense, transformation of the Battlefield of Consciousness to strengthen personal, national, and international security. The tools ("weapons" ?) for transformation are meditation and prayer. In this way the PMC is contributing to peace and harmony in the home, the workplace and the world. The meditative process involves also stress reduction, creative decision making and spiritual renewal.
