THE GRAND DECEPTION

There is a passage in the Qur'an that says, "Has the Deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah (Surah 57:14) ? "
Can the word Allah be considered another Name for Adonai and Yahweh? The Arabic word for God is Allah, which translated from Arabic also means God. Adonai and Yahweh are Hebrew mantras which also signify God.
Many people in the west including some Christians think of the Arabic word Allah as something foreign to them representing a different culture, a different religion, and a different (false) god. For example, many Christians think that Allah is some strange false God, but not another name for "The Father" spoken of by Jesus. Likewise, the word Jesus is taken by Muslims to refer to a false god. The names Adonai and Yahweh can be found in the old testament of the Christian Holy Bible.
Much to the consternation and dismay of those who hold to a belief that their religion, or their Name (s) for God, provides the only true path to God, we urge caution. We found that any one of the myriad ancient Hebrew, Greek, Arabic, or English Names for God, or any other language can be used like a surgical instrument in prayer and meditation to purify, cleanse the conscious and subconscious mind, and prepare the pray-er to enter into the deepest Silence. Studies show that non-linear (or vertical) thinking generates more of the Light of Life.
We observed that the behavior of even Jews, Muslims, agnostics and even atheists seems to become more "Christ-like" when they transcend on their chosen name for God. Some people prefer to transcend by using secular words like light, peace, love, etc. as a method for quieting and transcending mental activity. Reaching for the Grand Silence within and the common ground for people of all faiths, Muslims seem to experience many of the same benefits claimed by Christians who pray a different Name for the One True God.
From a different consciousness perspective, it seems that many people have been deceived or mislead with respect to the name of "YHWH". Why? We find that the revealed Name of God in the Hebrew language "YHWH." was deliberately removed from the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible by scholars, when the King James version was written. Whatever plausible reasons can be cited for removing the revealed Name of God from the Bible, the effect has been to mislead and deceive millions of Bible readers.
Why then, use the name of God in meditation?
First of all, this is an act of worship. The practice acknowledges that there is ultimately a Source of Peace, a Creator of all that is. Second, when a person surrenders all attachments by invoking the Name as their Highest Source, there are physical and psychological changes that begin to occur. At the same time the Peace Shield phenomenon occurs. They are mystically and perhaps physically shielded from danger and from the harmful effects of distress - physical, mental and emotional - and a catharsis and purification occurs. Thus calling on the Name shields and protects.
Our conclusion, then, is that the process of invoking the name for the One True God, by whatever name you choose, and dipping your conscious awareness into the grand Silence imbues you with qualities seen in devout Christians, Muslims, Jews, etc. Anti-meditators sometimes argue that either this conclusion is erroneous; or it is another deception of the Deceiver (Satan); or that the meditative process does not produce a spiritual capstone of light (light of Life); or that it does not really put one in touch with God.
In both the Qur'an and in the Bible we find that there are connections to be drawn between the Name of God and references to the true Light (of God).
Our response is this:
A person who uses a green filter to look at a bright white light, sees green light.
A person who uses a blue filter to look at the same bright white light, perceives a blue light.
Behind the filters of human perceptions one finds Light, the Fos ek Fotos (Greek: true Light from true
Light)
Bottom line is that Christians, Jews. Muslims and people of other persuasions perceive the same Source of Light through different filters, but choose to argue and fight about their differing perspectives. All the while there is a Common Ground of being for all religions.
