Pentagon Meditation Club Offers Free On-Line Course
Edward Winchester, founder of the Pentagon Meditation club (PMC), is currently offering a free on-line course in meditation as the means of transforming personal, national, and homeland security. Winchester advocates meditation as the most efficient way for any individual to develop a personal “peace shield.”
Winchester has taught hundreds of people to meditate both here in the U.S. and internationally since the PMC was chartered by the Office of the Secretary of Defense in 1976. It is the mission of the PMC to help heal a world in crisis by “connecting with hearts and minds of people around the world to build a “peace shield” of light for spiritual protection, national defense, and global security.”
1. Putting God first in one’s life by intention and by acts of service and kindness to others;
2. Performing the “prayer of the heart,” a meditation on whatever holy name of God is most meaningful to the individual;
3. Right thinking by changing thoughts and attitudes; and
4. Taking responsibility for one’s actions and holding the vision of a world transformed from war to peace.
According to (Ed) Winchester, “Empirical evidence supports the hypothesis that conflicts and chaos within a population of any given size occur whenever individuals exhibit cognitive dissonance. It follows that extreme cognitive dissonance leads to terrorism and ultimately to war”. But the opposite condition occurs when people systematically generate cognitive resonance and when eugenic radiance occurs.
Winchester says this phenomenon is verifiable and measurable and supports the conclusion that the collective efforts of many people to silently access their inner resources results in transformation of human behavior.
