THE ULTIMATE SOLUTION

"Men since the beginning of time have sought peace... Military alliances, balances of power, leagues of nations, all intern have failed, leaving the only path to be by way of the crucible of war. . . . We have had our last chance. If we do not now devise some greater and more equitable system, Armageddon will be at our door. The problem is basically theological and involves a spiritual recrudescence and improvement of human character  [transformation]  that will synchronize with our almost matchless advances in science, art, literature, and all material and cultural developments of the past two thousand years. It must be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh."   General Douglas MacArthur

Definition of Spiritual Recrudescence:

Spiritual - That which is spiritual has no body, form, or substance. It cannot be categorized as “a thing.” Spirit is defined as, “the life principle, the thinking, feeling part of mankind, as distinguished from the body, mind, and intelligence.” Theologians suggest that Holy Spirit is source of the life principle, sometimes referred to as the “Light of Life,” that flows or emanates from a central source called "God," the “Source of Light and Life.”

Recrudescence - Recrudescence is a turning back to and being one in spirit with the source of life.  It Implies a process of transformation and growing in wisdom, movement to a higher state of being.  People need to grasp the real meaning of the Light or of enlightenment that offers a way out of President Bush’s “war on evil.”  It is naive to think that winning a war will actually “deliver us from evil” or spark the “spiritual recrudescence and improvement of human character” called for by General MacArthur. Those who call for war who endorse a Presidential declaration of “war on evil” need to probe more deeply the meaning of transformation which liberates mankind from spiritual darkness that causes “evil.”
