THE "PEACE SHIELD" IDEA WHERE DID THE "IDEA" & NAME COME FROM? By Ed Winchester "SCRIPTURES CONTAINING THE WORD SHIELD" The word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, fear not, Abram: I am thy SHIELD and thy exceeding great reward. Genesis 15:1 But Thou, O Lord, art a SHIELD for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. - Psalm 3:3 For Thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favor wilt thou compass him as with SHIELD. - Psalm 5:12 Thou hast given me the SHIELD of Thy salvation: and Thy right hand hath holden me up, and Thy gentleness hath made me great. - Psalm 18:35 The Lord is my strength and my SHIELD; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore, my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him. - Psalm 28:7 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: He is our help and our SHIELD. - Psalm 33:20 For the Lord is a sun and SHIELD: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. - Psalm 84:11 He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy SHIELD and buckler. - Psalm 91:4 O Is'ra-el, trust thou in the Lord:He is their help and their SHIELD. O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord: He is their help and their SHIELD. Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: He is their help and their SHIELD. - Psalm 115:9-11 Every word of God is pure: He is a SHIELD unto them that put their trust in Him. - Proverbs 30:5 There have been critics over the years who took the "Peace Shield" idea out of context and twisted the idea for their own purposes. It is for this reason we would like to share with you where the idea for the "Peace Shield Meditation" originated and why we favor this approach to silence.
