GLOBAL PEACE SHIELD - ARMOR OF LIGHT

PEACE SHIELD MEDITATION

STEPS TO TRANSCEND THOUGHTS AND QUIET THE MIND

Begin by finding a quiet environment and sit relaxed with eyes closed.  The basic steps are quite simple and easy to follow:

1.  RELAX   Take a few minutes to become quiet and still, freeing yourself from outer distractions.  Then with eyes closed call to mind any one of the sacred names of God (holy word) in your particular language and tradition with which you are familiar.

2.  USE A WORD   Begin to call on the word for God you have chosen, repeating it silently; avoid putting concentration and effort into this process.  Thoughts, imagery, and distractions inevitably arise, even uncomfortable feelings (release of stress). Allow them to pass without dwelling on them. Gradually and without effort move your awareness beyond those experiences to deeper states of silence and restfulness for body and mind.  Remain centered, receptive and open to receive the invisible "light of life" (Holy Spirit), thereby opening the way to experience the mystery of the omnipresent God there within the temple of your very own mind and body.

3.  REPEAT THE WORD  Whenever thoughts, images, and feelings surface, whether blissful or dis-stressing, gently return your attention to the word (holy name of God in your language), repeating it again and again to allow distracting thoughts to fade away, until even the Word fades away. This is a simple procedure for reaching a state of absolute silence, a peaceful place at your heart center, the essence of your being.

4.  ENJOY THE SILENCE  When the prescribed time has elapsed, e.g. 15 to 30 minutes, or whenever it feels right to you, simply stop.  But always take a few minutes before coming out of meditation.

This form of interior communion is the secret to the mystery of “Being,” a prerequisite to “Being All You Can Be.” This type of mental exercise typically practiced at least two times a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, is more effective when experienced on an empty stomach.

Calling on God's Name (s) frequently throughout the day, and even doing this vocally, is also beneficial.  The habit of interior prayer leads to “God Consciousness." That is, prolonged awareness of the Omni-Presence of God, with immediate results being that you release many causes for dis-stress and tension in your life.  This daily practice of entering into silence serves as stepping-stones to both inner and outer peace by removing blockages, which inhibit effective problem solving and more enlightened decision-making.

Why is silence (centering) so important for everyone?  This is important not only for spiritual well-being, but there are health benefits, physical and mental.  It strengthens the mind-body connection. Silence is for everyone, because it leads to another reality, a "Common Ground" that we all share with each other. Accessing the "Common Ground" involves a technology for resolving conflicts and solving problems. This applies on any scale of human activity. Inner peace is the basis for world peace.

Spiritual Defense Initiatives have demonstrated that calling on the Name of God  is a powerful way to center and enter into a peaceful state of consciousness and bring more love into our world.  Wheat is Spiritual Defense?

This is Spiritual Defense - people calling on the Name of God in prayer and meditation, is the trigger for cognitive resonance and eugenic radiance needed to end to wars, terrorism and other forms of violence in the world. Herein is a new paradigm, hidden technology for transformation and spiritual defense because this simple prayer/meditation practice provides a strong shield of protection by changing the way of knowing, thinking and behavior needed to eliminate the evil of war, conflict and strife.

Spiritual Defense can be defined as the application of non-lethal, non-invasive, and non-physical Distance Influence (DI) – thought technology, which can provide real protection and shielding by screening and blocking harmful influences of a destructive or evil nature.  Spiritual Defense employs DI technology, which is thought form communication between a sender(s) and a receiver (s), whether consciously perceived or not, involving for example light and sound, prayer and meditation, and collective mental synchronization to augment and help insure security and well-being.

Reading the words on this page, reciting prayers, singing, and speaking is discursive mental activity. Reciting “The Lord’s Prayer,” reading verses from the Bible or selections from the Qu'ran are examples of discursive mental activity/prayer:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.

Notice that the prayer words cited above contain a prayer within a prayer.  That is, there is an injunction to hallow the Name of God. This process is non-linear mental activity. often referred to a centering prayer or transcending. Here is how we experience this process to reach the deepest state of silence by meditating on a Name of God (the name of God in your language).
